Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal professional to support daily contract lifecycle management, legal operations, and compliance tracking. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in commercial contract drafting, corporate legal compliance, and cross-functional coordination, helping mitigate operational risk across business units.

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Legal

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka (Immediate Joiners Preferred)

Experience: 2-5 Years

Role Overview:

Supporting core legal operations at Ola Electric by drafting, reviewing, and tracking commercial agreements while assisting with factory compliance and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate baseline commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and procurement service contracts.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with internal procurement and finance teams to identify operational legal risks and ensure standard compliance guidelines are met.
• Database & Lifecycle Management: Maintain and manage the central contract database, tracking execution timelines, renewals, and legal repository updates.
• Compliance & Dispute Support: Assist senior counsel with tracking factory compliance requirements, maintaining statutory documentation, and organizing materials for ongoing litigation.
• Strategic Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a key legal partner to internal executive leadership, key vendor counterparties, and external partners; liaise with external legal counsel and relevant regulatory bodies on corporate and operational matters.
  
  

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
• 25 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracting and legal compliance (corporate or law firm background).
• Notice Period: Immediate joiners or candidates serving a notice period of 30 days or less preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Indian contract law and corporate compliance.
• Proven skills in contract drafting, negotiation, risk identification, and cross-functional collaboration.
