Learning & Development Manager

## About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to design, implement, and oversee training and development programs that build employee skills, strengthen leadership capability, and support the organization's growth. This role will partner closely with HR, department leaders, and senior management to identify skill gaps, create learning strategies, and measure the impact of development initiatives across the company.

## Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement company-wide learning and development strategies aligned with business goals and workforce needs.

- Conduct training needs analyses in partnership with department heads to identify skill gaps and development priorities.

- Develop, curate, and deliver training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, soft skills, leadership development, and compliance training.

- Manage the end-to-end training lifecycle: needs assessment, content design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

- Own and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is current, accessible, and tracked accurately.

- Partner with external vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to source or co-develop specialized training content.

- Build and manage leadership and management development programs, including mentoring and succession planning initiatives.

- Define and track L&D metrics (completion rates, engagement, skill improvement, ROI) and report on program effectiveness to leadership.

- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and vendors.

- Stay current on learning trends, instructional design best practices, and emerging technologies (e.g., e-learning, microlearning, AI-driven learning tools) to keep programs modern and effective.

- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.

- Support performance management processes by aligning development plans with individual and organizational goals.

## Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

- 10+ years of experience in learning & development, training, or organizational development, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead capacity.

- Proven experience designing and delivering training programs across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, blended, self-paced).

- Hands-on experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS).

- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick's model).

- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Data-driven mindset with experience measuring and reporting on training effectiveness.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in instructional design, training and development, or a related credential (e.g., ATD, CPTD, SHRM).

- Experience building leadership development or management training programs.

- Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and virtual training platforms.

- Experience in a fast-growing or tech-enabled organization.
