Job Summary
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Wealth Underwriting Assistant.
Responsibilities - Support performance and overall effectiveness of a team and cross-group administrative operations within Wealth Underwriting functional area
- Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools with functional area impact
- Perform or guide others on complex tasks or initiatives within Wealth Underwriting functional area that require planning, evaluation and interpretation
- Prioritize work and provide day to day leadership and mentorship to a Wealth Underwriting team
- Lead or contribute to implementation of new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among multiple teams
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to an immediate team and Wealth Underwriting functional area on a wide range of information
- 4+ years of Wealth Underwriting support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Analyze commercial real estate operating statements, rent rolls, and property performance data.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, K-1s, and related documentation to assess borrower financial strength and repayment capacity.
- Evaluate collateral quality, market conditions, and credit risk factors to support underwriting decisions.
- Review lease agreements and prepare lease abstractions, extracting key financial and contractual terms.
- Support lending and portfolio management teams through documentation review, data validation, and reporting.
- Conduct portfolio monitoring, quality assurance reviews, borrower assessments, and risk reporting activities.
- Perform compliance-related reviews, including OFAC, PEP, sanctions, and credit bureau checks.
- Maintain accurate credit system records and ensure data quality across lending platforms.
