Operating within an Enterprise Imaging AD managed services program, this role delivers application enhancements, custom tooling, intelligent automation solutions, and reporting and analytics driving sprint-based delivery from requirements through build, test, deployment, and hyper care. The ideal candidate has built complex healthcare applications, automated clinical and operational workflows using UiPath in production, and can independently own a feature or automation from conception to go-live without gaps in the delivery chain. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop application enhancements, bespoke solutions, and new features for imaging and clinical applications across the full stack front end (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React or Angular) and back end (.NET/C# services and APIs).
- Build and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations, data transformation utilities, and application middleware that connect imaging platforms (PACS, RIS, VNA), EHR systems, and ancillary applications.
- Design, build, and deploy UiPath automation workflows attended and unattended to streamline clinical operations, administrative processes, and IT operational tasks within the healthcare environment, using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and Reframe work.
- Integrate UiPath bots with PACS, EHR, RIS, and reporting systems via APIs and UI automation; implement robust exception handling, logging, alerting, and bot lifecycle management for all production RPA deployments.
- Conduct automation opportunity assessments and process discovery exercises; produce Process Definition Documents (PDDs) and Solution Design Documents (SDDs) to support stakeholder alignment and development scoping.
- Create custom reporting and analytics solutions including dashboards and operational KPIs using Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent BI tools; develop monitoring and observability components including health checks and custom alerts.
- Own end-to-end SDLC execution for all assigned work items: requirements analysis, design, build, unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, deployment readiness, and post-go-live hyper care.
- Actively participate in agile sprint ceremonies sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint demos, and retrospectives and consistently deliver work items within committed sprint boundaries.
- Follow and enforce engineering best practices across the team: code review, Git-based version control with disciplined branching and commit hygiene, standards compliance, and unit and component testing.
- Support security and compliance enhancements in all developed applications and automations, including HIPAA-aware PHI handling, access controls, and audit logging.
- Produce engineering documentation, technical specifications, runbooks, and release notes; ensure deployment and rollback readiness for every release.
- Participate in innovation pilots and proof-of-concept development; evaluate emerging tools, automation frameworks, and development patterns relevant to the healthcare imaging domain. Required Qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of professional software development experience with strong, production-proven .NET/C# and JavaScript full stack skills.
- Solid command of REST APIs, JSON/XML data handling, SQL, and integration patterns for both application and reporting development needs.
- Hands-on UiPath development experience (Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework) with production-deployed automations in enterprise environments; UiPath RPA Developer or Advanced Developer certification strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end SDLC delivery within agile/sprint frameworks from requirement intake through deployment and hyper care, not just the coding phase.
- Experience with Git-based version control and agile delivery tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar); familiarity with CI/CD concepts and release pipeline practices.
- Experience building automation utilities and BI/reporting deliverables (Power BI, SSRS, or similar).
- Prior healthcare or regulated-industry development experience with HIPAA-aware handling of PHI in application code and automation workflows. Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to imaging and clinical systems (PACS, RIS, LIS, EHR) and conceptual familiarity with HL7/FHIR/DICOM integration patterns.
- UiPath Document Understanding or AI Center experience for intelligent document automation and clinical data extraction.
- Power Automate as a complementary automation platform; cloud development experience (Azure or AWS) and containerization familiarity.
- Experience in managed services delivery models with SLA accountability and hyper care support obligations.
- Performance optimization experience for .NET applications and SQL queries handling large clinical or imaging datasets.
