Lead Solution Architect (BigQuery & GCP)

Role Overview:

An Automobile giant is consolidating 170 fragmented KPIs across three business pillars into a governed Unified Data Layer on BigQuery, with Power BI as the reporting platform. We need a Lead Solution Architect to own technical direction end-to-end: the dimensional model spanning 29 harmonized metric families, the governed pipeline architecture, security/IAM and role-based access design, and the eventual integration of AI capabilities like natural-language query and anomaly detection.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as Client's primary architecture counterpart, converting the accepted Phase 1 direction into a build-ready design, resolving technical disagreements between the data modeling, ETL, BI, and AI delivery pods.

Make real trade-off calls including, where the chosen delivery approach calls for it, sequencing a faster interim reporting layer against a longer-term governed foundation without compromising either.

Operate hands-on by reviewing pipeline and model designs directly rather than just setting direction from a distance.

Participate in continuous client stakeholder engagement, making this an onsite role.

Defend design decisions to an enterprise architecture review board.

Requirements:

8+ years architecting enterprise data platforms.

Hands-on GCP/BigQuery experience.
