Role Description The Lead Software Engineer role at Zenlynx Technology is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain core backend services that power the ZenX platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Daily responsibilities include leading software development projects, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product managers and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Lead Software Engineer will drive architectural decisions, improve development processes, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices. This role also involves troubleshooting production issues, optimizing system performance, and supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and microservices.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD tools is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of data integration, analytics, or sustainability/ESG domains is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment in Bhubaneswar and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
