This role requires someone who can lead engineering teams, drive architectural decisions, mentor developers, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Role Overview As a Lead Software Engineer, you will own critical technical decisions, define engineering best practices, and lead teams in building scalable and reliable systems. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Technical Leadership & Architecture • Own and evolve end-to-end system architecture focused on scalability, performance, and cost optimization • Define architectural standards and best practices across backend systems (Python/Django), frontend (React – good to have), and integrations • Lead design and architecture reviews to ensure maintainable and extensible solutions • Build scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant systems in Linux environments • Drive cloud-native and serverless architecture initiatives • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies such as caching, asynchronous processing, and load balancing • Guide teams on system design and architectural best practices 🔹 Team Leadership & Mentorship • Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions • Conduct code reviews and design discussions • Drive engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, and version control standards 🔹 Execution & Delivery • Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and engineering deliverables • Ensure quality delivery within timelines 🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner closely with Product, QA, Customer Success, and Design teams • Manage dependencies and align cross-functional initiatives effectively 🔹 Innovation & Optimization • Stay current with emerging technologies, workflow automation, AI-assisted development, and low-code platforms • Optimize architecture and ETL systems for performance and scalability Required Skills & Experience ✅ 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in technical leadership roles ✅ Strong expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, Bash, Docker, and AWS ✅ Experience building scalable ETL pipelines and independent systems ✅ Airflow experience is good to have ✅ Strong understanding of data modeling, workflow engines, and real-time systems ✅ Knowledge of RBAC, permissions, record versioning, and import/export workflows ✅ Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and monitoring tools ✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills ✅ Ability to balance hands-on development with mentoring and delegation Important Note: This is a full-time in-office role based in Hyderabad and is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.
