Lead Software Engineer - Java

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement microservices solutions deployed to cloud platforms
• Develop RESTful APIs to integrate backend services with frontend applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
• Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering team members
• Support architectural decisions to meet quality, security, reliability, and compliance standards
• Apply Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack
• Leverage containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services

Requirements

• Proven 5+ years of hands-on design and development experience using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL
• Demonstrated experience with microservices architecture, Azure Cloud, and Serverless
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including pods, containers, services, and Istio
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Redis
• Strong skills in RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with frontend applications
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

• Understanding of UI technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and React (including Hooks)
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with performance tuning and DevOps
• Capability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI solutions following industry standards and patterns
