Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer (Leading EPC Company )

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer Rotating Equipment to oversee rotating equipment engineering activities for EPC/EPCM projects. The role involves ensuring technical accuracy, equipment reliability, compliance with engineering standards, and effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities involving rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, and agitators.
• Review project specifications, contractual requirements, equipment datasheets, requisitions, and engineering documentation.
• Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor documentation.
• Ensure appropriate equipment selection, sizing, and compliance with applicable API, ASME, ISO, and other engineering standards.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, and Project Management teams.
• Review vendor drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, performance curves, and equipment interface requirements.
• Conduct technical discussions and coordinate with vendors, clients, and engineering consultants.
• Provide technical support during procurement, inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Identify engineering challenges, evaluate technical risks, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Supervise and mentor engineering teams while ensuring timely delivery of quality engineering documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 11-16 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering, preferably within EPC/EPCM organizations.
• Strong technical understanding of pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, and associated rotating machinery.
• Hands-on experience in equipment selection, sizing, preparation of datasheets, technical specifications, and technical bid evaluations.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards, particularly API, ASME, and ISO.
• Experience in vendor coordination, engineering documentation reviews, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Industry exposure to fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, or other process industries.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.

Software Proficiency

• Working knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation management systems.
• Familiarity with equipment selection and reliability-related engineering software.
