Lead Product Designer

We re looking for a Lead Product Designer who can help shape the next phase of our product journey and raise the bar for design across the organisation.

As a Lead Product Designer, you will own the design vision and experience for some of Scapia s most important product areas.

You ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Business teams to solve complex customer problems, shape product strategy, and take ideas from 0 1 through launch and scale.

This is a player-coach role - you ll lead and mentor a team of designers while staying hands-on with the most important product problems.

• Own the design strategy and vision for key product areas.

• Partner with Product and Engineering to identify problems, shape solutions, and influence product direction.

• Take products from concept to launch, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

• Create simple, intuitive, and delightful experiences for complex customer problems.

• Maintain a high bar for product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and craft.

• Use customer insights, data, research, and experimentation to inform design decisions.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers.

• Build a culture of strong craft, feedback, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Partner with leadership on design hiring, team structure, and capability building.

• Stay hands-on and contribute directly to high-impact product initiatives.

• 8-12+ years of product design experience.

• Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of product designers.

• Strong track record of building and shipping consumer-facing products.

• Strong product thinking and the ability to influence strategy beyond design execution.

• Excellent understanding of UX, interaction, visual design, and product craft.

• Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high ownership.

• A strong portfolio showcasing product thinking, craft, leadership, and shipped work.
