Lead PMO & BSG - Aditya Birla Housing Finance

Role Purpose

The role will drive technology portfolio governance, program management and business solution delivery across strategic initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with Business, Technology, Data, Operations, Risk and partner teams to translate priorities into well-governed programs with predictable delivery, transparent reporting and measurable business outcomes.

This is an outcome-oriented role that goes beyond project tracking to strengthen governance, execution discipline, portfolio visibility and benefits realization.

Role & responsibilities

1. Technology PMO & Portfolio Governance

• Own governance of the technology project and change portfolio.
• Establish and maintain governance standards, stage gates, dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets and delivery commitments.
• Drive periodic portfolio reviews with senior Business and Technology stakeholders.
• Maintain centralized visibility of projects, change requests, status, dependencies and outcomes.

2. Program & Project Management

• Lead governance of strategic and cross-functional technology programs.
• Drive execution across Business, Technology, Product, Operations and external partners.
• Identify delivery risks and interdependencies early and drive timely closure.
• Ensure adherence to agreed scope, timelines, quality and governance requirements.
• Facilitate steering committees and management reviews with clear decision and action tracking.

3. Business Solutions & Change Governance

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand technology requirements and priorities.
• Ensure adequate problem definition, business requirements, measurable outcomes and stakeholder ownership before development.
• Govern the project and change lifecycle from requirement through UAT, production readiness and closure.
• Improve traceability between business requirements, technology deliverables and realized outcomes.

4. Management Reporting & Executive Governance

• Develop concise executive dashboards covering delivery health, risks, dependencies, financials and key decisions.
• Provide portfolio-level insights rather than only project-level status reporting.
• Track strategic alignment and benefits or ROI of technology investments.
• Highlight initiatives requiring management intervention and ensure timely escalation.

5. Technology Governance & Production Oversight

• Establish clear governance across development, production support and technology change.
• Track production issues, recurring defects, data fixes and systemic improvements.
• Coordinate with Technology teams on application stability, monitoring and performance improvement.
• Ensure audit, security, VAPT and technology-risk actions are tracked to closure.
• Drive documentation and knowledge-management discipline.

6. Financial & Vendor Governance

• Support technology budgeting, forecasting and expenditure tracking.
• Monitor vendor commitments, commercials and delivery performance.
• Track resource utilization and capacity against portfolio priorities.
• Drive transparency around project costs and expected business benefits.

Preferred candidate profile

The successful candidate should not be a reporting-focused PMO coordinator. The person must be able to operate independently with senior Business and Technology stakeholders, understand delivery issues, constructively challenge timelines and dependencies, and convert portfolio information into clear management decisions.

Role positioning: A hands-on technology portfolio and business-solutions governance role combining delivery oversight, control discipline and outcome ownership.

Qualification

MBA / Engineering / Technology; PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent preferred
