Lead Java Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Java Lead with 7.5+ years of overall experience and a strong background in the banking industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Core Java, strong software architecture/design experience, and the ability to lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance application architectures.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive application design, development standards, coding practices, and technical best practices.
• Review existing systems and recommend architecture improvements, modernization, and performance enhancements.
• Mentor and guide Java developers and conduct technical design/code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, business teams, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Contribute to technology strategy and architecture decisions for banking applications.

Requirements:

• 7.5+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Banking industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java.
• Strong experience in Java application architecture and solution design.
• Experience designing scalable and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, collections, exception handling, and JVM concepts.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
