Lead II - Software Testing (Mainframe testing and API testing)

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Mainframe Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing mainframe applications, validating APIs, executing end-to-end test scenarios, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The role requires strong analytical skills, defect management experience, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

• Perform testing of Mainframe applications involving CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL.
• Validate batch processing and online transaction systems.
• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Validate file processing, data integrity, and database updates.
• Perform defect analysis and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Support release validation and production implementation activities.

• Design and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP services.
• Validate request/response payloads using JSON and XML formats.
• Perform integration and end-to-end testing across applications.
• Verify API authentication, authorization, and error handling.
• Execute API regression testing and defect tracking.
• Review API specifications and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
• Log, track, and manage defects through closure.
• Participate in requirement reviews and Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
