Summary: UST is looking for Front End Lead Engineer to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of modern web applications . The role involves leading the development of scalable, reusable UI capabilities, dashboards, visualization components, and contributor-plugin integrations while mentoring engineering teams and establishing frontend best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Angular and TypeScript-based applications.
- Drive the evolution of key platform modules including Process Explorer, Tool Overview Dashboard, File & Recipe, Report Builder, Inventory, and Settings.
- Define and implement reusable UI components, shared libraries, and modular frontend architecture.
- Develop and optimize REST API integrations, state management, validation, error handling, and application performance.
- Support advanced visualization capabilities, including 2D/3D rendering and contributor plugin integration.
- Establish and maintain unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Implement frontend security, monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry, and performance optimization practices.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of frontend engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript .
- Experience building reusable components, shared libraries, and modular UI architectures.
- Expertise in REST API integration and data-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience with complex state management and asynchronous workflows.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing, browser diagnostics, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, technical documentation, and mentoring.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Blazor , micro-frontends, or plugin-based architectures.
- Exposure to Athena SDK .
- Experience with 2D/3D visualization, scientific imaging, or data visualization platforms.
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, accessibility standards, and enterprise design systems.
- Understanding of npm package security, SAST, SCA, and SBOM practices.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and SAFe Agile methodologies.
Additional Information
- Work model: Hyderabad office with 4 days/week onsite presence.
- Travel may be required for onboarding, PI Planning, workshops, and key project milestones.
