Lead I - Software Testing

Role Description Primary Skills: Application Tester with moderate SQL skillset, Experience in Test Automation Manual & API testing

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Provide clear and concise bug reports with steps to reproduce and expected results.
• Understand API specifications and design test cases to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
• Execute API tests using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Verify API requests and responses, including data formats, status codes, and error handling.
• Perform performance testing of APIs to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in databases.
• Verify data manipulation operations (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) performed by the application.
• Test stored procedures, functions, and triggers within the database.
• Analyze database schemas and ensure data relationships are maintained. Should have knowledge in Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies

QUALIFICATION Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers )

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as a business analyst and should have strong knowledge in Provider area, should be able to understand the mappings, define the requirements and clarify the functional and technical impediments
• • SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Overall IT experience of 4+ years
• 4+ years experience in manual and API testing
• Considerable knowledge in SQL DB testing
• Basic knowledge in Python scripting would be beneficial
• Handson experience in Jira and Confluence and Postman
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
• Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
• Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
