Back End Engineer - Engineer II Experience 4+ years Positions 2 Location / work model: Hyderabad; four days per week from the office. Role purpose Develop, test and support Cortex backend services, REST APIs, data integrations and gateway components, taking assigned backlog items from analysis through tested completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop C#/.NET/ASP.NET Core services and REST APIs.
- Implement integrations, API/data contracts and PostgreSQL data access.
- Apply authentication, authorization, validation and secure coding practices.
- Create unit, API and integration tests and regression coverage.
- Reproduce defects and diagnose issues using logs, telemetry and data inspection.
- Package services with Docker and support Kubernetes/CI/CD deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation and Cortex knowledge transfer.
Mandatory qualifications and skills
- 4+ years in backend development.
- C#/.NET/ASP.NET Core and REST APIs.
- SQL/PostgreSQL and distributed-system fundamentals.
- Authentication/authorization and automated testing.
- Git, code reviews, CI/CD and Docker; Kubernetes exposure.
- Independent delivery, debugging, documentation and collaboration.
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Athena, SDP, DAP or gateway integration.
- Elasticsearch; RabbitMQ/Kafka; OpenTelemetry.
- Python/Shell; Kubernetes development; Blazor awareness.
- SAST/SCA/SBOM; scientific or data-intensive applications.
