    About this role

    Job Summary

We invite you to bring your knowledge on Water Networks projects into play, as you will be responsible for carrying out the network design for storm water, wastewater, drinking water, and other wet utilities networks. Also, responsible for carrying out the checks of the design and drawings produced by the CAD technicians in the team. To succeed in this role, you must have a sound knowledge and thorough understanding of principles of storm water management, sanitary management, and pressure water system. We have a plethora of infrastructure, highway, airport, and rail projects which will help you grow technically. Are you our new lead engineer in the water department?

    Responsibilities

    • Independently manage complex aviation and land development infrastructure projects: Lead the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of aviation and land development projects, ensuring compliance with applicable aviation standards, operational safety requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
    • Development of base models: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop accurate, efficient, and coordinated base models for airside, landside, and associated infrastructure works.
    • Technical leadership and mentoring: Provide technical guidance, strategic direction, and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their development and strengthening overall team capability.
    • Stormwater network planning: Undertake stormwater demand assessments, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and design of proposed drainage infrastructure for aviation and land development projects, including airside and landside drainage systems.
    • Runoff assessment and sustainable drainage: Carry out runoff assessments, storm drainage planning, and integration of Sustainable Drainage Systems / SuDS features into drainage networks, while considering airport safety, operational, and maintenance requirements.
    • Hydraulic and hydrological expertise: Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological engineering principles, including catchment analysis, rainfall-runoff modelling, attenuation, conveyance, and flood risk management.
    • Future network planning: Plan future drainage and utility networks and integrate them with existing airport and land development infrastructure through optioneering, capacity assessment, and strategic planning.
    • Documentation and reporting: Prepare technical reports, design notes, calculations, memos, and presentations, ensuring clear communication of design intent, assumptions, project status, risks, and technical findings.
    • Coordination with project teams: Work closely with Project Managers, Assistant Engineers, Technical Managers, and global design teams to deliver high-quality design calculations, drawings, models, and technical outputs.
    • Multidisciplinary collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including airfield planning, roads, pavements, structures, rail, utilities, electrical, lighting, environment, and MEP disciplines to achieve clash-free, constructible, and compliant designs.
    • Knowledge of aviation standards and design tools: Demonstrate familiarity with relevant national and international aviation and infrastructure standards, such as ICAO, FAA, IATA, local authority requirements, and drainage design guidance. Experience with tools such as InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modelling software is preferred.
    • Design of water-related structures: Develop detailed designs for water-related structures such as culverts, channels, attenuation tanks, oil interceptors, outfalls, manholes, headwalls, and pumping stations, with practical understanding of site constraints and constructability.
    • IFC drawing development: Demonstrate a good understanding of detailed drawing development up to Issued for Construction stage, including plans, profiles, sections, schedules, details, and coordinated multidisciplinary deliverables.
    • Aviation-specific design considerations: Incorporate airport-specific requirements such as air-specific operational constraints, safety zones, pavement drainage, aircraft movement areas, service corridors, construction phasing, maintainability, environmental compliance, and minimization of disruption to airport operations.

    Qualifications

    • Civil Engineering graduate; ME/M.Tech in Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years experience in wet utilities and drainage design for transport infrastructure projects including Aviation, Rail and Highways.
    • Strong knowledge of airport drainage, sewerage, potable/non-potable water networks, stormwater management, and utility integration.
    • Familiarity with relevant standards such as ICAO, FAA, IATA, DMRB, ASCE, EPA, Eurocodes, CIRIA, CPHEEO manuals, relevant IRC codes and Indian codes.
    • Proficient in design/modelling tools including SewerGEMS, InfoDrainage, WaterGEMS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
    • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, compliant, and constructible design solutions.
