Shift Hours: US Eastern Timezone Overlap (Afternoon Start to 12:00 AM IST)

Role Overview We are seeking a
Lead DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on technical and leadership experience to drive our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and 24/7 production reliability. In this role, you will lead an offshore engineering team, design resilient and highly available systems on AWS, and partner closely with US-based stakeholders to ensure smooth release cycles and rapid incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor an offshore DevOps and application support team; drive technical standards, conduct code/pipeline reviews, and maintain clear handoffs during US Eastern Time (EST) overlap hours.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Architect, maintain, and scale containerized workloads using
Docker and
Kubernetes across multi-cluster production environments.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Build, optimize, and maintain automated deployment pipelines using
GitHub Actions ,
ArgoCD , and declarative
YAML configurations.
- Cloud & API Management: Manage
AWS cloud infrastructure, configure
API Gateways , integrate
REST APIs , and design architectures for
High Availability (HA) , fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Production Application Support: Act as an escalation point for Tier 3/critical production issues; conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative measures to ensure system uptime and strict SLA adherence.
- Observability & Monitoring: Implement and tune full-stack monitoring, distributed tracing, alerting, and log aggregation using
Splunk and
Dynatrace .
- Release Management: Oversee end-to-end software release cycles, coordinating blue-green/canary deployments, rollback strategies, and environment provisioning.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Apply foundational IaC principles (e.g., Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) to ensure standardized, repeatable environment configurations. Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Enterprise Production Support.
- Cloud Platform: Deep expertise in core
AWS services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch).
- Containers & Orchestration: Advanced proficiency in
Docker container lifecycle management and
Kubernetes administration/troubleshooting.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Hands-on mastery of
GitHub ,
GitHub Actions ,
ArgoCD , and writing clean, maintainable
YAML manifests.
- Observability: Strong real-world experience setting up dashboards, alerts, and log parsing in
Splunk and
Dynatrace .
- API & Networking: Solid understanding of
REST APIs ,
AWS API Gateway , load balancing, reverse proxies, and microservices networking.
- Production Support: Proven track record in high-severity incident management, troubleshooting complex distributed applications, and maintaining 99.9%+ availability.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, unblock, and elevate offshore technical teams while coordinating across distributed global time zones. Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Practical experience writing declarative Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps best practices, secret management (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault), and compliance frameworks.
