Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced candidate in Demand Planning to lead demand forecasting and planning activities for the Domestic Home Textile business.

The role will be responsible for improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory, driving the S&OP process, and ensuring product availability across channels. The position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category, Manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to develop accurate and actionable demand plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate statistical demand forecasts using demand planning tools and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
• Analyze historical sales trends, demand drivers and market inputs to develop robust forecasting models.
• Drive the S&OP process through data collection, analysis and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop consensus demand plans in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Category teams.
• Plan demand for new product launches, product transitions and promotional activities.
• Monitor forecast performance and identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize inventory through safety stock planning and inventory control.
• Generate weekly inventory net requirements to support production planning.
• Develop and execute inventory liquidation plans to reduce aged inventory and improve working capital.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of demand planning systems and planning tools.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with supply plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across demand and supply chain planning processes.
• Provide actionable insights to management through demand, inventory and forecast analytics.
• Ensure optimal service levels while balancing inventory efficiency and working capital requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 812 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning / Supply Chain Planning.
• Experience in Textiles, Home Textiles, FMCG, Retail, Consumer Goods or Manufacturing will be preferred.
• Graduate with an MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain & Operations or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Hands-on experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning and S&OP.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
• Good understanding of supply chain planning processes and inventory optimization.
• Working knowledge of SAP and demand planning tools.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Ability to lead teams, manage projects and drive process improvements.
