Lead Database Engineer- NoSQL

Job Purpose We are seeking a Senior Lead Database Engineer to lead the design, development and maintenance of our company's databases. The Senior Lead Database Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security and integrity of our databases, as well as providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Job Responsibilities(JR) : 6 – 8 Areas

● Lead the design, development and maintenance of databases

● Ensure the performance, security and integrity of databases

● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

● Collaborate with other departments to gather requirements and provide solutions

● Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures

● Monitor and optimize database performance

● Identify and resolve database-related issues

● Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends

Experience of 11-14 years of experience:

Skills

● Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases like Aerospike, Cassandra, Couchbase, Redis etc. ● Strong understanding of NoSQL data modeling practices. ● Experience with database security, backup and recovery procedures ● Familiarity with Cloud Database service like AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL. ● Experience with new generation distributed SQL databases like YugabyteDB or CockroachDB. ● Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like terraform, ansible, chef etc. ● Familiarity with Kubernetes and Kubernetes Operator frameworks. ● Excellent communication and leadership abilities
