Lead Data Analyst

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Data Analyst to join our fast-paced, data-driven gaming team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent SQL skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for solving complex, high-impact problems across marketing analytics, product analytics, and gaming performance optimisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on massive-scale datasets (billions of data points), influence product and marketing strategy, and partner with cross-functional teams to shape the future of our games and player experiences.

Requirements:

• Great interpersonal skills: Candidate needs to work closely with senior leaders in Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Operations on fast-paced, high-stakes problems and hence needs to be capable of managing the stakeholders. Good presentation skills are a must for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong engineering skills: Candidate is expected to design and create data pipelines between Games, ML models, data warehouse and third-party tools. Experience working with big data with more than a billion data points is a must.
• Strong problem-solving ability: Candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation while also being able to research and design solutions to complex problems.
• Proficient in Data analytics: Candidates should have a strong grasp of SQL and Python. Should be highly proficient in Excel and one of the visualisation tools like QlikView, Tableau. The candidate must have working knowledge of Machine learning and Data science libraries and should have a good understanding of the statistical underpinnings of ML frameworks. Experience with A/B testing and statistical modelling will be an added advantage.
• Highly Action Oriented: Our team's culture has a strong bias for action and speed of implementation. The candidate will need to own projects from conceptualisation to execution. The candidate should have proven ability to work highly independently and juggle several projects at once.

Lead Data Analyst Responsibilities:

• Deliver analytics and data science projects that are aligned with the roadmap and product goals.
• Work closely with the game team to design, test, verify and implement machine learning models and product features within our games that impact millions of users.
• Pitch new ideas to the stakeholders and hold brainstorming sessions with the team.
• Strong process orientation and ability to learn quickly.
• Mentor, coordinate and evaluate the work of junior analysts.
