Key Responsibilities and Authority:
Kinet Railway Solutions Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of electric passenger trains, was established to manufacture and maintain 1,920 Vande Bharat sleeper coaches. In partnership with RVNL and Indian Railways, Kinet is driving India's railway modernization by integrating cutting-edge technology, enhancing passenger experience, and strengthening rail infrastructure. Committed to local manufacturing, regional suppliers, and workforce development, the company operates a state-of-the-art factory in Latur and an engineering center in Hyderabad. A maintenance depot is already under construction in Jodhpur, with further facilities planned in Delhi and Bengaluru – shaping the future of rail travel in India.
- We are in Search of Dynamic & experienced Buyer to lead the Indirect Procurement activites.
Key Responsibilities and Authority:
- Lead indirect sourcing across India, partnering with HR, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and other functions.
- Manage vendors for facilities, MRO, consumables, professional services, logistics, IT, manpower, Capex, and warehousing.
- Manage contracts, AMCs, ARCs, commercial terms, and legal clauses.
- Conduct vendor evaluation, audits, development, and compliance checks.
- Handle techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, quotations, and supplier comparisons.
- Review purchase requisitions, finalize specifications, and manage the complete PR-to-PO/P2P cycle.
- Generate POs, track deliveries, manage MRO inventory, and prepare MIS reports on savings and procurement performance.
- Ensure timely delivery, quality, and adherence to supplier commitments.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team.
- Bachelor of Engineering (any discipline) preferred.
- 8 -12 years of experience in Sourcing commodities/services/other materials/capex procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills/understanding of market cost/communication skills (written and oral)
- Proficient in MS office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Lead a nationally significant railway project with transformative potential.
