Lead Business Analyst - Payment Operations + Data Management

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to support Technical Product Owners in aligning requirements with the technical and organisational context across squads and tribes. This role serves as a key link between Agile development squads, tribes, and broader technical teams such as Run and Architecture, requiring strong industry domain expertise and insight into emerging market and technology trends to drive payment operations and data management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on the platform domain while understanding organisational needs
• Translate organisational needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment throughout the solution build
• Factor technical constraints such as latency and throughput into technical requirement definitions
• Define the problem space, clarify value drivers, and identify opportunities for innovation and user engagement
• Track evolving market changes, regulations, and technology trends to assess their impact on product relevance
• Identify potential value opportunities, estimate value pools, and track value delivery
• Contribute to investment proposals and assess the viability of proposed technical product solutions
• Collaborate with Technical Product Owners and squads to articulate how technical solutions deliver value
• Participate in workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define hypotheses and achieve buy-in
• Contribute to the creation and prioritisation of the technical product backlog and maintain traceability of requirements
• Identify roadblocks and potential failure points and define strategies for mitigation
• Conduct business readiness assessments, go-live planning, and support development of training, communication, and stakeholder engagement plans

Requirements

• 10-15 years of overall experience in IT, with a strong background in Business Analysis, Agile delivery, and Product Ownership
• Proficiency in BRD and FRD documentation, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management
• Expertise in Payment Operations, Data Management, and Vulnerability Management
• Knowledge of user journey mapping frameworks and analytical techniques for requirement definition
• Familiarity with organisational landscapes and technical capabilities across Agile squads and tribes
• Understanding of technical constraints such as latency and throughput and their impact on solution design
• Skills in business readiness planning, including gap analysis, training, and operational handover
• Competency in tracking delivery performance against value metrics and OKRs
