Job Description: Senior Business Analyst (Insurance & AI) Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore, India Experience: 6?8 Years Domain: Commercial Insurance Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive knowledge in the Commercial Insurance sector and a proven track record in Data Analysis and AI-driven initiatives . The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex business challenges and technology solutions, leading the requirement orchestration for modern InsurTech platforms. You will be responsible for translating commercial insurance business needs into actionable technical specifications while leveraging AI and data insights to drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Business Requirement Orchestration: Lead and manage the discovery phase for complex Commercial Insurance projects, defining scope, business goals, and functional deliverables.
• Commercial Insurance Expertise: Apply deep domain knowledge to streamline business processes across the insurance value chain (Underwriting, Claims, Policy Administration, or Distribution).
• AI & Data Initiatives: Partner with data science teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into insurance workflows, ensuring models align with business logic and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Facilitate seamless communication between business stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data profiling and analysis to support decision-making, utilizing SQL or data visualization tools to identify trends and process bottlenecks.
• Documentation: Develop high-quality business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks and business process gaps, proposing data-backed solutions to ensure project success.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all solutions comply with global insurance regulations and internal data governance best practices. Mandatory Skills
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance principles, including P&C (Property & Casualty) or Specialty lines.
• Analytical Prowess: Exceptional ability to perform complex data analysis and translate raw data into business insights.
• AI Engagement: Practical experience working on projects involving Artificial Intelligence , Predictive Analytics, or Generative AI within a corporate environment.
• Methodology: Expert proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments, including managing backlogs and participating in sprint ceremonies.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership and technical architects. Preferred Skills
• Technical Tools: Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Palantir Foundry for data initiatives.
• AI Tools: Experience with AI productivity tools or LLM-based prototyping (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
• Agile Tools: Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Process Improvement: Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies to drive process optimization. Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 6?8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within the Insurance or Fintech industry.
• Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering data-heavy projects and leading requirements for AI-integrated solutions.
