Lead - Banking

We are looking for an experienced Lead Banking to manage strategic banking relationships, trade finance, fundraising, and overall banking operations. The role will be responsible for driving banking strategy, managing lender relationships, optimizing financing costs, and supporting the Groups funding and treasury requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with national and regional banks.

- Lead discussions and negotiations with banks and financial institutions for various banking and financing requirements.

- Drive fundraising activities from initiation through to closure.

- Identify and evaluate Trade Finance opportunities with banks and financial institutions.

- Lead negotiations on financing terms with lenders and suppliers.

- Drive initiatives to optimize and reduce the overall cost of finance.

- Oversee Trade Finance instruments, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and document negotiations with counterparties.

- Manage and oversee export documentation and export receivables.

- Ensure compliance with conditions precedent and other terms specified in credit facility sanction letters.

- Lead finance cost budgeting and variance analysis.

- Prepare and review preliminary presentations and teasers for Project Finance transactions.

- Oversee banking requirements across Group companies and departments, including account onboarding, online banking access, cards, tokens, statements, and balance confirmations.

- Monitor credit exposure, bank charges, trade instruments, account management, and export receivables.

- Track and assess regulatory authority updates relevant to banking and the Groups core business activities.

- Provide management with regular reports, insights, and recommendations on banking and financing matters.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of banking and financing activities.

Key Skills:

- 15 - 20 years of experience in Banking, Treasury, Corporate Finance, or related functions.

- Strong experience in banking relationship management.

- Expertise in Trade Finance, Letters of Credit, and Bank Guarantees.

- Strong experience in fundraising and financing transactions.

- Proven negotiation skills with banks, lenders, and suppliers.

- Strong understanding of finance cost optimization.

- Experience handling export documents and export receivables.

- Knowledge of credit facility terms and compliance requirements.

- Experience in Project Finance and preparation of transaction teasers/presentations.

- Strong understanding of banking operations and account management.

- Experience in finance cost budgeting and variance analysis.

- Strong reporting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
