Lead Backend Engineer

Anaira provides AI-native technology to insurers so they can upgrade their system of record and intelligence layer, moving from patchwork, siloed tools to an integrated, learning decision platform. We work alongside existing cores, unify operational data, and enable faster decisions, continuous experimentation, and measurable business outcomes. Our modular approach spans key insurance workflows and scales across products and channels.

Responsibilities:

• Implement domain services, event sourcing patterns, and core platform capabilities within the microservices architecture.

Requirements:

• Core Skills: Java Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data JPA) and microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and polyglot persistence, Docker, Kubernetes, and API-first design, security (JWT, OAuth2), testing (JUnit 5 Mockito, TestContainers), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing).
• Preferred: Neo4j, Elasticsearch, event sourcing, CQRS, and domain-driven design; business process engines, workflow orchestration; insurance domain knowledge (policies, claims, underwriting), GitOps, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
