Role & responsibilities

• The role will be responsible for translating brand and business requirements into high-quality architectural solutions, while driving projects from concept development through execution.
• Lead architectural design for stores and develop design concepts, layouts, schematic designs, detailed drawing and construction documentation.
• Ensure effective planning of customer areas, back-of-house spaces, service areas, kitchen/utility zones, storage and operational requirements.
• Develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, customer experience, cost and constructability.
• Review architectural drawings, material specifications, details and mock-ups.
• Drive projects from concept stage through design development, tendering, construction and handover.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, kitchen, signage, lighting and other specialist requirements.
• Review BOQs, specifications, material schedules and technical details.
• Evaluate materials, finishes, construction methodologies and design alternatives from both aesthetic and commercial perspectives

Preferred candidate profile

• Professional experience in architecture, with significant exposure to retail, F&B, hospitality, commercial or similar projects.
• Strong experience in end-to-end delivery of retail/F&B projects.
• Excellent understanding of architectural planning, detailing, materials, finishes and construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of retail and F&B operational requirements.
• Ability to read, review and develop detailed architectural and technical drawings.
• Should be able to travel frequently.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software will be an advantage.
