Job Description: Responsibilities: Role / Job Summary: Postgres DBA L3 accountable & responsible for handling global database operations. Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts. Location: Bangalore/Chennai Years of Experience: 8 – 10 years Key Responsibilities Own 24* 7 database support; handling Incidents, Requests, Problems & Changes. Handle on-call database support during week-ends & out of business hours. Own & deliver various client & infra projects. Plan & deliver various projects around database patching, upgrades & migrations. Management of various tools/scripts being used for databases. Managing Primary DBA roles for multiple applications. Contribution towards automation of recurrent tasks. Ticket reduction through problem management. Manage disaster recovery tests & exercises. Identify & deliver various POCs (Proof of concepts) for latest RDBMS features, open source & new technologies. Work closely with application teams to provide solutions across various requirements & problems. Proactively identify the problems and provide solutions to avoid incidents & application outages. Work with other infra teams to optimize databases performance and reduce incidents probability.
