Role Description The Lead AI Developer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role involves designing and implementing AI and machine learning models, leading end-to-end development from data exploration and experimentation to deployment and maintenance in production environments. The Lead AI Developer will guide a team of developers and data practitioners, review code and model performance, and ensure best practices in architecture, security, and scalability. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product and business stakeholders to define requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and continuously improving existing AI systems. The role also includes mentoring team members, documenting solutions, and staying current with emerging AI frameworks, tools, and research to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in AI and machine learning development, including model design, training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for AI (such as Python) and experience with relevant frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with data engineering practices, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with structured and unstructured data.
• Skill in designing scalable, secure software architectures and deploying AI solutions to production environments using modern DevOps or MLOps practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor colleagues, conduct code and model reviews, and establish development standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on translating complex business requirements into robust AI solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working on applied AI projects in industry; exposure to ethical AI, model governance, and responsible data usage is a plus.
