Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Team Lead - Accounts Payable is responsible for managing end-to-end AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and month-end activities. The role involves leading the AP team, driving process improvements, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
• 8 to 10 years of AP experience, including team management.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, GST/TDS, and ERP systems (Tally & Quick books, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage daily Accounts Payable operations.
• Review and approve vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and payment proposals.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments in compliance with company policies.
• Monitor vendor reconciliations and resolve payment-related queries.
• Lead month-end and year-end AP closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and internal control requirements.
• Track AP KPIs, aging reports, and payment schedules.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Business Teams, Treasury, and Vendors to resolve issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Train, mentor, and develop AP team members.
