Lathe Machine Operator

Role & responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications.
• Perform precision machining on conventional lathe machines with high accuracy (up to 10 microns).
• Machine, repair, and restore pump components ensuring correct fits, clearances, and assembly requirements.
• Manufacture and modify pump components such as shaft sleeves, threaded nuts, taper pins, and other customized parts.
• Operate and maintain conventional lathe, radial drill, surface grinding, and milling machines.
• Carry out drilling, tapping, and other machining operations required for repair and manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with assembly and repair teams to ensure proper component fitment and timely completion of jobs.
• Develop and fabricate tooling, fixtures, and setups for various repair applications.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards while maintaining minimum rejection levels.
• Support urgent breakdown jobs and contribute to improving service center productivity and turnaround time.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Education: ITI
• Experience: 8-12 years of relevant industry experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of job-specific tools, processes, and systems.
• Languages: Tamil / Hindi / English
