Last Mile Manager International Logistics

Last Mile Network & Carrier Management

• Manage relationships with last-mile carriers, couriers, and delivery partners across international markets.
• Negotiate service agreements with last-mile providers to optimize service levels.
• Onboard and evaluate new last-mile partners in new or expanding markets/regions.
• Monitor carrier performance (on-time delivery, damage/loss rates, first-attempt success) and drive corrective action plans.

Operations & Performance

• Own end-to-end last-mile KPIs: on-time delivery, delivery cost per parcel/kg, failed delivery rate, and customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS).
• Track and resolve delivery exceptions delays, misroutes, customs holds, address issues, and failed deliveries.
• Partner with customs/brokerage teams to reduce delays for international, cross-border last-mile shipments.
• Build dashboards and reporting to track last-mile performance by country, region, and carrier.

Cost & Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities to reduce last-mile delivery costs without compromising service levels.
• Drive route optimization, delivery zone planning, and carrier mix strategy across markets.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for delivery speed, reliability, and customer communication (tracking, ETAs, notifications).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with customer service, warehousing/fulfillment, and international freight teams to ensure a seamless door-to-door experience.
• Collaborate with finance on carrier invoicing, cost reconciliation, and budget planning for last-mile spend.
• Support new market launches by scoping and setting up last-mile delivery capability from the ground up.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in last-mile delivery, courier/parcel operations, or international logistics management.
• Proven experience managing multi-carrier, multi-country last-mile networks.
• Strong track record of negotiating carrier contracts and improving delivery SLAs.
• Solid understanding of cross-border shipping, customs processes, and international trade documentation.
• Data-driven mindset — comfortable working with KPI dashboards, Excel/BI tools, and carrier performance data.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.

Experience with TMS/OMS platforms and carrier/courier management systems preferred
