Lab Technician

Role: Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, and other clinical samples.
• Perform laboratory tests as per standard procedures and protocols.
• Conduct tests in areas such as hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and microbiology.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Ensure accurate testing, documentation, and timely reporting of results.
• Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain proper records of samples, test results, reagents, and laboratory reports.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of samples and laboratory reagents.
• Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and biomedical waste management guidelines.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the laboratory.
• Handle patient queries professionally and ensure proper patient identification before sample collection.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in shifts.
• Basic computer/LIS knowledge.

Qualification: DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.

Experience: Fresher.
