L3 Application Support Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for experienced L3 Application Support Engineers with strong Java development expertise to support and enhance mission-critical applications for a leading global investment banking client. The role involves production support, incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and hands-on Java development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for business-critical production applications.
• Troubleshoot high-severity incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build and support REST APIs and backend services.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
• Analyze logs, system metrics, and performance issues.
• Support deployments, releases, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management processes.

Mandatory Skills

• 4-8 years of Application/Production Support experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17.
• Spring Boot and Microservices.
• REST APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Unix/Linux troubleshooting and log analysis.
• Incident Management and RCA.
• Debugging and troubleshooting Java applications.
• Good understanding of OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and Design Patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Investment Banking / Financial Services domain experience.
• Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• AWS.
• Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ.
• Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana.
