Job Description

We are looking for an experienced L2 WAF & SSLO Engineer to manage, support and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP Web Application Firewall (WAF/ASM) and SSL Orchestrator (SSLO) platforms in a critical banking environment.

The candidate will be responsible for protecting web applications against security threats, managing WAF policies, troubleshooting SSL/TLS traffic inspection, resolving security incidents and ensuring compliance with security policies and operational SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 operational support and administration for F5 BIG-IP WAF/ASM and SSLO platforms.
• Monitor security alerts, platform health, performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot web application security incidents and SSL/TLS traffic-related issues.
• Configure, deploy and tune WAF security policies, exceptions and application protection rules.
• Configure F5 SSLO for SSL/TLS traffic decryption, inspection and re-encryption.
• Implement standard configurations for new applications and services.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA), incident containment and remediation.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers and F5 Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation and incident records.
• Ensure configurations comply with security policies and banking regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with application, network, security and other technical teams for incident resolution.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP WAF/ASM.
• Practical experience with F5 BIG-IP SSL Orchestrator (SSLO).
• Good knowledge of F5 BIG-IP LTM, HTTP/HTTPS and SSL/TLS.
• Experience in WAF policy configuration, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong incident management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Education & Certifications

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, BCA/MCA or a relevant master's degree.
• Required certifications as specified by the client: CEH/CCNA/CCNP Security and an OEM F5 certification such as F5-CA/F5-CTS (two certifications in total).

Important Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work onsite at the assigned location.
• Willingness to work in 247 rotational shifts.
• Candidates should have hands-on F5 WAF/ASM and SSLO experience, not just general firewall or network monitoring experience.
