L2 Platform Operations Engineer

Role Purpose

Provide advanced operational support, its identity integrations and supporting services, ensuring stable day-to-day operations, timely resolution of escalations and adherence to service-management controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day platform administration, health checks and operational monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve incidents escalated by L1 across application, identity and infrastructure layers.
• Troubleshoot SSO, Microsoft Entra ID Enterprise Applications and access-related issues.
• Manage SSL certificate deployment/renewal activities and troubleshoot DNS dependencies.
• Monitor alerts and logs, identify recurring patterns and support root-cause analysis.
• Execute approved patching, maintenance, configuration changes and platform upgrades.
• Verify backup jobs, support restoration tests and participate in DR readiness activities.
• Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, shift handover notes and incident documentation.
• Coordinate with L3, vendor and dependent infrastructure teams for complex issues.

Mandatory Skills

• Operations experience with an enterprise chat/collaboration platform.
• Linux administration.
• Microsoft Entra ID administration and Enterprise Applications.
• SSO troubleshooting.
• SSL certificate management and DNS troubleshooting.
• Monitoring and alert management.
• ITIL-aligned Incident, Request and Change Management.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Kubernetes/OpenShift operations.
• PostgreSQL fundamentals.
• PowerShell or other scripting.
• Backup and restore operations.
• API troubleshooting.
• Log analysis.
• Patch and upgrade management.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Relevant ITIL certification is preferred; practical adherence to ITIL processes is essential.
