Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and dynamic

Network Engineer to join our security operations team in Airoli, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise-grade network security infrastructure, specializing in firewall operations, intrusion prevention, and cloud-based DDoS/WAF mitigation. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our network perimeter, responding to security incidents, and ensuring optimal availability and performance of security controls.

Mandatory Skills Combination **To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least

two to three of the following core competencies:**

• Next-Generation Firewall Operations: Hands-on operational expertise in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks and/or Juniper Firewalls (including policy management, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention).
• Threat & Attack Mitigation: Proven experience in managing IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) and executing robust DDoS mitigation strategies and real-time response.
• Cloud Security & CDN Operations: Practical, hands-on operational experience with Akamai security solutions (e.g., Kona Site Defender, App & API Protector, or Prolexic) for web and application traffic protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Firewall & Security Administration: Implement, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper) to ensure secure data transit and perimeter defense.
• DDoS & Web Security Operations: Monitor traffic anomalies, configure thresholds, and manage DDoS mitigation policies, leveraging Akamai and on-premise infrastructure.
• IPS & Threat Management: Tune and manage IPS signatures, analyze security alerts, and investigate potential intrusions or vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response & Triage: Act as a primary responder for security incidents, executing containment actions, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing preventive measures.
• Change & Configuration Management: Manage firewall rule changes, perform regular security audits, and maintain comprehensive documentation of network security topologies.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional IT, network, and application teams to troubleshoot security roadblocks and ensure smooth deployment of new services.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of dedicated experience in network security operations, firewall management, and security infrastructure.
• Technical Stack: + Firewalls: Palo Alto (PAN-OS), Juniper (SRX/Junos). + Security Services: IPS/IDS, SIEM integration, DDoS mitigation appliances/cloud services. + Cloud/CDN: Akamai Security Solutions.
