Key Accounts Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. In-Plant Operations & Line Feeding

• Manage day-to-day in-plant material handling, warehouse operations, and line-feeding activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines as per the customers production schedule.
• Coordinate with production, stores, planning, and supply chain teams to prevent line stoppages due to material shortages.
• Monitor material movement, replenishment, FIFO compliance, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to customer SOPs, material handling procedures, and operational SLAs.

2. Key Account Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and maintain strong working relationships.
• Conduct regular operational review meetings and resolve customer escalations.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, service quality, and KPI performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, additional business, and operational cost optimization.

3. Manpower & Team Management

• Manage supervisors, team leaders, material handlers, and line-feeding personnel.
• Ensure optimum manpower deployment as per operational requirements and production shifts.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, overtime, and shift-wise performance.
• Train employees on operational procedures, safety, quality, and productivity standards.

4. Performance & Cost Management

• Monitor key operational KPIs, including:
  
• Line-feeding adherence and on-time material delivery.
• Inventory accuracy and material damage.
• Manpower productivity and utilization.
• Customer complaints and service-level compliance.
• Operational cost and budget adherence.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
• Drive productivity improvements, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.

5. Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, 5S, and customer safety requirements.
• Ensure proper material identification, storage, handling, and traceability.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with customer production, warehouse, quality, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Plan resources according to production schedules and changes in customer demand.
• Escalate critical operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Report operational performance, risks, and improvement plans to management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
• 812 years of experience in warehouse operations, in-plant logistics, line feeding, or material handling.
• Prior experience in automotive or manufacturing plant operations is preferred.
• Experience in customer handling, manpower management, and operational KPI monitoring is essential
