Karate Teacher

Job Purpose

To train students in Karate and self-defence techniques, develop their physical fitness, discipline, confidence, coordination, and sportsmanship, and encourage students to participate in inter-school and other competitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular Karate training sessions for students across different age groups.
• Teach basic and advanced Karate techniques, including stances, punches, kicks, blocks, combinations, and self-defence.
• Plan training sessions according to students age, skill level, and physical ability.
• Ensure proper warm-up, stretching, conditioning, and cool-down during training.
• Maintain discipline and safety during all training sessions.
• Identify students with good potential and provide advanced coaching.

Qualification & Certification

• Diploma / Certification in Karate or Martial Arts from a recognized association/institution.
• Valid Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Certification in coaching/refereeing will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with recognized Karate federation/association credentials will be preferred.
