Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Confluent's streaming platform (Kafka).
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
  
• Implement event-driven architecture patterns to build real-time data systems.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to Kafka clusters, brokers, connectors, and messaging queues.
  
• Ensure high availability of the system by implementing redundancy measures such as replication factors.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-8 years of experience in developing applications on top of Apache Kafka or similar technologies like RabbitMQ/NATS.
  
• Strong understanding of Kafka Streams concepts including topics, partitions, offsets, and retention policies.
  
• Experience working with Kafka Connectors (e.g., S3, Postgres) for data ingestion/publishing from various sources/destinations.
  
• Familiarity with Confluence's Schema Registry for schema management.
