About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented
Junior Software Tester with 1–2 years of experience in manual and automation testing. You will be part of our QA team, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for someone passionate about software quality, eager to learn automation frameworks, and ready to contribute to delivering a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create, maintain, and execute
test cases, test plans, and test scripts .
- Perform
manual testing for functionality, regression, usability, and compatibility.
- Assist in designing and executing
automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Identify, document, and track
bugs/defects in tools like JIRA, MS Planner or similar.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues.
- Perform
smoke, regression, and UAT support testing .
- Ensure test coverage for new and existing features.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Must-Have Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in
manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
- Hands-on exposure to
automation testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of
SDLC and STLC .
- Experience in writing
clear and concise test cases, bug reports, and documentation .
- Familiarity with
defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of
SQL for database validation.
- Understanding of
API testing (Postman, REST Assured is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Familiarity with
Agile/Scrum methodologies .
- Experience in
performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6).
- Exposure to
version control systems like Git/GitHub.
