Junior Sales Trader – Mumbai

Institutional Equities – Sales Trading Role Overview Support the Sales Trading desk by identifying and interpreting market-moving developments across stocks, sectors, and macro events. Work closely with Senior Sales Traders to convert news, research, data, and market flows into actionable insights that support client engagement and trading opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor market news, earnings, economic data, policy developments and corporate events
• Prepare earnings watch, event previews, market summaries and post-event analyses
• Analyze market flows, positioning, sentiment, and price action.
• Generate concise, actionable insights and trading ideas.
• Support client servicing through timely market colour and event updates.
• Leverage research, data analytics and technology tools to identify opportunities and improve workflows.

Requirements

• 1.5–3 years of experience in sales trading, dealing, research support, or institutional equities.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and market microstructure.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and information synthesis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, market data platforms, and analytical tools.
• MBA, CA, CFA (or pursuing) preferred.
