Job Summary

Job Title: Junior Safety Officer. Location: Coimbatore. Openings: 2. Experience: 2 to 3 Years. Qualification: M.E. Industrial Safety (Only preferred). Shift: Rotational (Day / Half Night / Night). Working Days: 6 Days a Week. Reporting To: Safety Officer / Safety Manager. Job Purpose: The Junior Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory safety requirements and promoting a safe working environment across the plant. The role involves active participation in safety audits, inspections, and training programs to minimize risks and ensure adherence to the company s health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across all departments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to reduce workplace incidents.
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, records, and registers as per the Factory Act and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Organize and participate in safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contract workers.
• Support the Fire Safety system maintenance and ensure readiness of firefighting equipment.
• Assist in statutory compliance audits conducted by government authorities and external agencies.
• Promote a safety-first culture within the organization by encouraging reporting and proactive risk identification.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of safety laws, Factory Act, and industrial safety standards.
• Hands-on experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
• Good documentation and report-preparation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
