Job Summary

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ANRF-PMECRG funded research project, with the following details:

• Project Title: Development of Sustainable Solid-State Processes to Recycle Aluminium Scrap for Sheet Metal Applications: Emphasis on Tooling Design, Thermo-mechanical Modelling, and Forming
• Project Duration: Two years
• Number of Positions: One (01)
• Essential Qualifications: B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering or allied fields; M.Tech. in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/CAD/CAM/Production Engineering or allied fields; Candidates awaiting M.Tech. results may also apply

PhD Opportunity

The selected candidate will be encouraged to enroll in a Ph.D. program at Mahindra University (through a separate call), if interested.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to finite element analysis (multi-physics) using Abaqus
• Experience in tooling design (dies, fixtures)
• Experience with CNC machines and CAD tools (Fusion 360/SolidWorks)
• Exposure to friction-based processes/Metal Forming
• GATE qualification

Age Limit and Relaxation

As per Government of India / ANRF norms.

Tenure

Purely temporary and subject to availability of funds. Initially for one year; extendable to second year based on performance.

Selected candidate is expected to join immediately.
