Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong manual testing fundamentals and an interest in growing in test automation. The role involves requirement analysis, test execution, defect management, API/database validation, and collaboration with development and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, exploratory, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, track, retest, and help drive defects to closure.
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Support QA verification across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, including release validation when required.
• Maintain test execution results, defect reports, and testing status updates.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Identify suitable scenarios for automation and develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and regression suites.
  
  

Technical Skills

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong hands-on experience with manual testing, test case design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress willingness to expand automation coverage.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman, including JSON/XML and response validation.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database and data validation (SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL).
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps/Jira, Git, browser developer tools, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Basic understanding of Git, browser developer tools, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across development, QA, and business teams.
• Ability to understand business requirements and identify potential issues or missing scenarios.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new testing tools and automation techniques
  
  

Education & Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong manual testing experience.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on automation testing experience using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience with API testing
  
  

Nice to have

Database testing, or CI/CD-based automated test execution)

Experience testing web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Knowledge of API automation or performance testing tools is an added advantage.
