Junior Python Developer

What is the Role? As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be part of a growing engineering team responsible for building scalable backend services and REST APIs that power high-volume, data-intensive applications. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to systems that ingest, process, and deliver data through a combination of real-time and batch processing workflows, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who enjoy solving technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and continuously learning. You'll receive hands-on mentorship, participate in code reviews, and gain exposure to modern backend technologies, distributed systems, cloud-native development, and engineering best practices while contributing to production systems from an early stage in your career.

What are the Requirements? ·

0 to 2 years of experience; bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. ·

Strong understanding of programming fundamentals with hands-on proficiency in Python, including functions, object-oriented programming, error handling, and modular code design · Good understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and database indexing concepts · Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to write queries involving joins, aggregations, filtering, and basic query optimization ·

Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON-based communication · Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, including branching, commits, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows · Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command-line tools · Basic scripting skills using Shell or Bash for automation and operational tasks · Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues · Understanding of software testing concepts and a habit of validating code before submission · Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly from feedback · Internship experience, academic projects, hackathons, personal software projects, or open-source contributions demonstrating backend development will be an advantage ·
