Junior Purchase Associate

Role & responsibilities

To ensure timely delivery of materials/equipment/services at most competitive price & quality,

• Identify Vendors
• Forwarding Request for Quote to multiple Vendors / Service Providers
• Arrange Users meeting with Vendors / Contractors or Site Visits for technical clarifications
• Obtain Samples, if required
• Part of Negotiation team & Prepare Negotiation Summary
• Obtain single quote / advance approvals
• Vendor Evaluation & obtain documents for vendor code creation
• Issue Order
• Follow up for Delivery and update the Users, amend the PO after obtaining required approvals / pre-close orders, if required,
• Forex coverage & LC Opening / extension wherever applicable
• Arrange Pick up of samples / Ordered items from domestic & global market
• Resolve Invoice issues with Vendors & obtain revised invoices / other clarifications
• Follow up with Vendors for advance settlement / GST returns by Vendors

Compliance with ISO 17025/14001 Guidelines

• Maintain approved Vendor list
• Evaluation of new vendors (arrange for sample, enquiry with the vendor & their existing customers, etc.)

Assist in the preparation of Capex budget

• Update the Capex Tracker on a weekly basis
• Put up Capex /advance notes
• Propose carry forward, if required.

Preferred candidate profile

B. Com with 2 to 5 years experience or CA / CMA Inter

Location : ITC Life Sciences & Technology Center, Peenya, Bengaluru

Functional:

a) Operating SAP MM / Finance module

b) Operating Windows Excel / Word /Power point

c) Identifying vendors in Search Engines

d) Good communication

e) Analytical Skills

f) Negotiation
