Job Purpose
To support smooth and efficient plant logistics operations, including material movement, dispatch coordination, inventory control, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement at the plant.
- Support daily dispatch planning and ensure timely vehicle placement.
- Coordinate with transporters, warehouse, production, and sales teams.
- Monitor vehicle movement, loading/unloading, and dispatch schedules.
- Maintain logistics-related records, reports, and documentation.
- Track inventory movement and ensure proper material reconciliation.
- Support preparation of dispatch documents, invoices, e-way bills, and other logistics documents.
- Monitor transportation costs and support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company logistics, safety, and statutory requirements.
- Resolve day-to-day logistics and transportation issues and escalate critical matters appropriately.
- Generate MIS reports related to dispatch, transportation, and logistics performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 24 years of experience in plant logistics / warehouse / dispatch operations, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of logistics and transportation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP/SAP knowledge.
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment.
