Junior Manager Logistics

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations
• Monitor and control day-to-day logistics activities.
• Manage the movement of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to GAT, customers, and vendors.
• Support logistics operations on a 247 basis without delays.
2. Import, Export & Domestic Shipments
• Handle import, export, and domestic logistics activities.
• Track shipments and ensure they meet the required TAT.
• Follow up on shipment delivery and movement.
3. Customs Clearance & SEZ
• Coordinate customs clearance for incoming and outgoing consignments.
• Coordinate with SEZ officers for customs clearance and material movement.
• Coordinate with Customs for aircraft clearance on arrival.
• Ensure timely clearance to avoid demurrage costs.
4. Customer Shipments
• Guide customers regarding required shipment documentation.
• Coordinate the process for bringing shipments into India.
• Collect handling and clearance charges from customers.
• Ensure lessor aircraft clearance with minimum possible expense.
5. Freight Forwarder & CHA Coordination
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and Customs House Agents (CHA).
• Ensure proper billing and timely payment processing.
• Vet invoices/documents and submit them to Finance for payment.
6. Reports & Documentation
• Maintain logistics, freight, clearance, and shipment records.
• Prepare/support reports related to freight costs, clearance costs, and shipment delays.
• Maintain shipment traceability records.
7. Aircraft & Engine Logistics
• Handle import and export of aircraft and engines as required by customers.
• Coordinate aircraft clearances and track aircraft-related shipments.
• Handle export shipments involving temporary removals.
8. Special / Over-Dimensional Shipments
• Coordinate and manage over-dimensional shipments.
• Ensure proper movement, clearance, and delivery of special shipments.
9. Shipment Tracking & Follow-up
• Track import shipments and coordinate their clearance from Air Cargo upon arrival.
• Follow up continuously on shipment delivery and customs clearance.
• Ensure logistics activities are completed within the required TAT.
