Junior Engineer (Marking)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out marking and layout of castings using surface plates, V-blocks, angle plates, height gauges and other marking tools.
• Mark machining lines, centres, hole positions and reference datums as per engineering drawings.
• Check machining allowance and identify casting shifts, distortion or short allowance.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Maintain marking instruments and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Coordinate with machining operators and communicate marking references accurately.
• Follow PPE, safety procedures and safe handling practices for heavy castings.
